SINGAPORE: It is hard to top a dazzling display of gold bars, but organisers of a contest at Changi Airport did just that on Friday (June 20). They took a golden opportunity to trot out 'Staticman' Antonio Santos, a street artist from Portugal. For two hours from noon, he "floated" beside a tower of gold bars, standing still like a statue. Mr Santos has brought his levitating act to more than 50 cities around the world. His glittering feat was made in conjunction with the return of the annual 'Be a Changi Millionaire' retail promotion, which has already made four shoppers overnight millionaires.
